Terp Bros LOCAL ASTORIA GUIDE FOR MARCH

What’s good Terp Bros fam? It’s a good week to be high and we’re here to help! From carefully crafted, in-person service from our dedicated budtenders to keeping you informed on where to eat, what to smoke, and where to have fun, we want to ensure that your Terp Bros experience extends beyond our store and improves your daily life with more than just weed because we are much more than just a dispensary!

Weekly Featured Products

We’ve all been there before. Standing at the dispensary, overwhelmed by the numerous options on the shelves and thinking to yourself, “I wish I knew what was best.” That’s what we’re here for. While our amazing budtenders are great at offering their extensive knowledge about our many cannabis products in person, we’ve curated a short list of some of our favorites week to week for those that prefer to make their selections before they hit the store.

  1. OLIO Live Rosin Gummies – Sour Grape Flavor

OLIO is making waves in the New York concentrates market with their commitment to quality and dedication to their loyal customer base with each new product. Their sour grape live rosin gummies are no exception. Combining the fast-acting bioavailability of live rosin with a burst of tongue tingling sour grape flavor, these gummies pack a punch in more ways than one!

  1. Cloud 9 CBD Infused Pizzas

The benefits of CBD are well understood and for years, people have been using it to treat many ailments from joint pain to anxiety. However, until the geniuses at Cloud 9 decided to dream up this delicacy, it had not been combined with the crispy, cheesy, deliciousness that is New York style pizza (made locally, right next door at Tufino Pizzeria) . Now you can grab a slice and feel so nice with their line of CBD infused pizzas available exclusively at Terp Bros Astoria!

  1. Gron Mega Pearls

THC tolerance varies dramatically from person to person. Factors like frequency of use, body mass, and genetic factors like metabolism all play a part in how much you get high from how much you consume. Gron aims to address this issue with their Mega Pearls. This single piece gummy contains 100mg of THC. It’s scored, so it’s easy to peel off each piece for a lower dose, but also easy to keep intact for those that may need a bit more THC to get their desired effect.

Local Munchies Highlight – Comfortland – 30th Ave, Astoria

One undeniable truth about cannabis is that it makes a lot of people hungry. The munchies are unavoidable. In fact, you might be experiencing them while reading this right now. If so, and you’re in the Astoria area, not to worry. If there’s one thing an award-winning team of cannabis professionals can help you find (aside from our fantastic cannabis products) it’s a place to chow down. This week’s highlight is Comfortland. Described by themselves as “No Holds-Barred Comfort Food” and we’d have to agree. They’re serving up monstrous fried chicken sandwiches and comfort food staples in their colorfully designed restaurant on the daily, but where they really shine is with their specials. At least twice a week you can expect a new one like Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast balls or fresh-baked buttery biscuits served with homemade crawfish gravy. Make sure to save room for one of their delicious homemade desserts too! Your inner munchy monster will thank you.

What To Do in Astoria This Week

If there’s one thing that’s sure to bring down your high, it’s not having anything fun to do. Lucky for you, if you’re reading this, you’re close to one of the most fun neighborhoods in all of NYC, Astoria. There is no shortage of things to do here in Astoria, especially if you like to partake before you partake… in activities. Here’s just a few, along with some events happening this coming week!

  • Paint & Sip at Oliver’s Astoria – Broadway St, Astoria (Wed. Mar. 19)

Paint and sip nights have slowly been taking over our country for the last five years or so. Those and escape rooms. We’ve all seen it happening and done nothing about it. Until now, that is. Sure, the occasional pop up “Paint & Puff” events happen here and there, but they’re sporadic at best, and something consistent would be great. Until then, why not make your own rules? Stop by Terp Bros with your friends or significant other on your way to Paint & Sip, grab something good to smoke and puff, puff, pass on the wine when you get to the event. Paint to your heart’s content with no sipping necessary. Aside from water. Cotton mouth is real.

  • Volunteer at Astoria Food Pantry – Steinway St, Astoria (Ongoing, see site for schedules)

Munchies suck, but genuine hunger is no joke. That’s why we partner with community advocates to host events like our free Thanksgiving turkey giveaways to help those in our community that struggle with hunger and homelessness. However, these events only help so much, and we can’t do them all the time so we’re lucky to be part of a community with resources like the Astoria Food Pantry. They not only provide food, but also but also life-saving supplies like diapers, clothing, books, and personal hygiene kits that are desperately needed by members of our community. The work they do impacts thousands and it’s all thanks to a grassroots group of volunteers. You can join them in their goal to provide a safer community for everyone by taking care of each other. Volunteer schedules and lists of needed donation items are on their website.

  • Clay’s Feast at QED – 23rd St. Astoria (Fri. Mar. 21)

Clay’s Feast is a new food-based TV show premiering on a major streaming platform next month. Before the premiere, head to QED to meet the star, see clips from the show before anyone else, and get a chance to see some of the best comedians from New York perform in a celebration of everything food and funny. Munchies not required for entry, but strongly recommended!

  • Take in the “Greenery” at Astoria Park

Sure, a stroll through the park is nothing new. It’s also no revelation that toking up before you take your stroll increases the likelihood of you enjoying your time (and buying food from a truck). Astoria Park seems to hit differently, though. Something about the bridges, the water, the rolling hills, and the multicultural events and markets that happen there just make it feel like its own little town. If you’re new to the Astoria area or are just visiting the city and find yourself in the neighborhood, come say high to us at Terp Bros and grab supplies for the best park day you’ve never had!

  • How To Survive a Slasher: Conversation with The Author Pucella Winans

For those of you who like to smoke before you read, especially those that love an edge of your seat horror story, we’ve got a treat for you! Queer YA Novelist Pucella Winans is celebrating the publication of their latest horror novel, ‘How to Survive a Slasher’ with a look inside the pages and a deep dive in conversation with bookseller and fellow writer Nino Cipri. Spark up before the show and get lost in the spark of conversation between two writers that share a love for horror!

CONCLUSION

Thanks for reading Terps and Terpettes! We hope this helped you not only find something to get you feeling right, but also showed you some cool stuff to do here in Astoria! Stay tuned and subscribed for weekly updates on new products, community, events, and more!
