Terp Bros Newsletter Vol. 4

Happy Tuesday, Terp fam! Spring is in the air, and by that we mean that it’s still kind of cold and rainy. But not to worry! We have all the high-quality products and recs for things to do that will make even the gloomiest day great! Whether you’re an edible enthusiast, a pre-roll perfectionist, or a concentrate connoisseur, we’ve got you covered. Side note: Rumor has it our second location in Ozone Park is opening soon! Make sure to follow both our Instagram pages to learn more about the soft open and check out sneak peeks of the new shop!

WEEKLY FEATURED PRODUCTS:

1. Heady Tree – Pineapple Slushee Flower 1/2 Oz. (35%)

Have you ever wondered what the cannabis equivalent to having a blended drink served in a hollowed-out pineapple on the beach would be? Who are we kidding? We all have! Well, my friends, the wondering can finally end. The Pineapple Slushee half ounce from Heady Tree is it! From the fresh, tropical, fruity terp profile to the thirty five percent THC content, this thing has it all and is absolutely flying off the shelves. Perfect for the sativa lover that just isn’t impressed with anything these days. This one will get you where you want to be.

2. Hashtag Honey – Live Resin Gummies (10mg per gummy, 100mg per pack)

If you like gummies and haven’t tried them from Hashtag Honey, you’re missing out. These things are nano-infused with live resin, so they kick in fast and pack a serious punch! Currently available in mango and blue raspberry options that are so good they’ll make you question whether you’ve ever truly tasted either of those flavors before. The taste is great, and the packaging keeps them nice and fresh, but where these gummies really shine is in their live resin nano-infusion that allows the THC to enter the blood stream much quicker than most other edibles. These things hit and they hit fast, which is great for those days when you don’t want to wait around an hour just to get stoned!

3. Honey King – 2 Gram Disposable Vape (77% – 84%)

Disposable vape lovers, rejoice! At last, a product that’s more than a single gram, hits hard, doesn’t clog, and won’t break the bank. If that isn’t a Goldilocks product, we don’t know what is. Honey King is changing the game with hardware that stands up to the test of a true stoner. Long pulls, smooth, clean hits, and big clouds all set this vape apart from the rest. Also, the fact that it will last longer than a couple of days and comes in multiple strain-specific variations doesn’t hurt either. Our current favorite is the Purple Runtz, but to be honest, you can’t go wrong with any of them!

LOCAL MUCHIES HIGHLIGHT – Tasty’s Diner (Ditmars Blvd)

Shuttered and closed to the public for months for renovations, the Ditmars classic, Tasty’s Diner is back in business and serving home-cooked American diner staples as well as an assortment of traditional Greek dishes to the hungry masses once again! They have an extensive, breakfast-heavy menu that has something for everyone, so it’s an easy pick for this week’s munchie highlight. Some of our favorites at Tasty’s include the chocolate chip pancakes (HUGE portion, come hungry), the homemade Tasty’s Mozzi Sticks (ooey gooey, deep fried cheesy goodness), and the classic Disco Fries. If you need us to tell you what Disco Fries are, stop what you’re doing and go get some right now. Thank us later. No matter what you’re in the mood for, Tasty’s is serving it up with a smile and when you try their food, you’ll be smiling too!

WHAT TO DO IN QUEENS THIS WEEK

1. Music Comedy Open Mic at Q.E.D. Astoria (Tue, April 8, 6pm, FREE with $5 purchase)

New York City is flooded with comedy open mics. They are everywhere you look. Some are in bookstores or gas station parking lots. Some are in people’s apartments, even right out on the street. In fact, you might be at one while reading this right now. However, with how prevalent open mic comedy shows are, something slightly harder to come by is a music comedy open mic that features stand-up comics who utilize instruments to emphasize their humor. It’s almost like getting to see two shows at once. One that will have you tapping your feet to the jams and slapping your knee from the jokes. This is exactly what Q.E.D. Astoria had in mind when they designated every other Tuesday’s open mic to those exact acts. Not only is it a great way to highlight musical comics in the area, but it also offers those of us in the Astoria community a unique comedy experience that you will be sure to remember!

2. Beginners Salsa Classes at Nieves Latin Dance Studio (Sat, April 12, 6pm, FREE first class)

Feeling like doing something with that heavy body high? Perhaps you’re in the mood to learn something new while having fun and staying fit at the same time. If so, we have the spot for you! Nieves offers classes for all kinds of Latin dances for dancers of every level that will have you feeling lighter on your feet even with a lighter in your pocket. On Saturdays they offer a beginners Salsa dance course. The first trial class is free, so you can decide if it’s something you want to do more of. Their classes are fun, easy, and welcoming to people of all dance levels and abilities! We recommend going with a light high. Smoking too much before Salsa lessons is a sure-fire way to end up eating chips and salsa instead. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!

3. Celebrate Opening Day with Astoria Park Alliance (Sat, April 12, 10am – 12pm)

Astoria is an amazing community filled with great, caring people. You might even be one of them! If so, and if you’ve been wondering how you can get involved and help keep Astoria amazing for those who live and visit the neighborhood, you’re in luck! The Astoria Park Alliance hosts community clean up events annually from April to November. This Saturday is opening day for the 2025 season, and they are having a bagel breakfast celebration at Astoria Park! Community members who love the parks that make our neighborhood so beautiful (along with all the people who live here) can meet up this Saturday morning at 10am for a bagel breakfast spread. Get to know fellow volunteers, eat good food, make friends, and then set out into the park for a lovely stroll while cleaning up litter, tidying up gardens and even planting some actual greenery! No, not that kind, just the plants you look at. It’s a great opportunity to be a helpful part of the community and meet some cool people in the process! Visit www.astoriaparalliance.org to check out their events calendar and learn more ways you can help!

There you have it, Terps ladies and Terp gentlemen. From products picked precisely for you to events and opportunities to enjoy in your community, that was another weekly list of what to do and what to smoke here in Queens! Once again, a little birdie told me our second location opens in Ozone Park real soon! Follow our Astoria and Ozone Park Terp Bros IG pages to learn more about the soft open and check out even more amazing products and events in your neighborhood!
