Anthony was scheduled to arrive at 4 p.m. and showed up more than two hours later, according to the same report. He took selfies with fans and signed basketball memorabilia. One fan, Adam Romano, drove six hours with eight Anthony jerseys, and Anthony signed all eight.
What Is STAYME7O?
STAYME7O is Carmelo Anthony's cannabis brand. Queens Post reports he first launched it in Oregon under the umbrella of the cannabis-focused agency Grand National before the New York launch.
Queens Post also reports that a portion of STAYME7O proceeds will support the Last Prisoner Project, a nonprofit dedicated to cannabis criminal justice reform. It quotes Anthony describing the launch as feeling "incredibly personal."
How Did the Launch Come Together?
Terp Bros co-owner Jeremy Rivera told Queens Post the meet-and-greet was arranged only three days earlier. FlowerHouse, a distribution partner that supplies several brands to Terp Bros and other dispensaries, reached out to Rivera and his partner Alessandro Cottone. Rivera called it "an honor to even hold the product".
