Q.02What types of products does Terp Bros offer?
We offer a wide variety of cannabis products, including flowers, extracts, edibles, topicals, and accessories. Our extensive selection caters to both recreational and medical users, with options ranging from high-CBD formulations to potent THC concentrates.
Q.03Are the products at Terp Bros lab-tested for quality and safety?
Yes, all of our products are rigorously lab-tested by third-party facilities that are licensed by New York State to ensure the highest quality, safety, and potency. We only source from trusted, licensed producers who share our commitment to transparency and excellence.
Q.04Is Terp Bros compliant with New York state cannabis regulations?

Ordering & Payments
Q.01What ID do I need at Terp Bros?
Terp Bros requires a valid government-issued photo ID proving you're 21 or older - state driver's license, state ID card, U.S. passport, passport card, permanent resident card, or military ID. We cannot accept expired IDs, paper temporary licenses, school IDs, or digital copies. Every customer scans in at the door at both Astoria (36-10 Ditmars Blvd) and Ozone Park (135-26 Cross Bay Blvd) - CAURD rules apply to everyone, no exceptions.
Q.02Can I pay with a credit card?
Terp Bros accepts cash and PIN-based debit at checkout. Credit cards are not supported at any NY cannabis dispensary because federal banking restrictions still prohibit Visa, Mastercard, and Amex from processing cannabis transactions. Both shops have ATMs on-site for convenience, and we post our surcharge rate openly. If you prefer cashless, the debit-as-cash option runs through a compliant ATM network - it feels like a credit card tap but pulls from your checking account.
Q.03How do I set up a Dutchie account?
Creating a Dutchie account takes 60 seconds on our shop pages - click Shop Astoria or Shop Ozone Park, add items, then verify your 21+ ID once at checkout. The same Dutchie login works across both Terp Bros locations and Terp Perks loyalty. If you already have a Dutchie account from another NY dispensary, sign in and your ID stays verified. Need help setting up? Budtenders at either shop will walk you through it on the in-store tablet.
Q.04Is there a minimum order amount?
In-store pickup has no minimum - grab a single pre-roll if you want. Delivery has a $60 minimum order across Queens and varies slightly by zip code; both Dutchie shop pages show the exact threshold before you check out. Loyalty members get reduced minimums during Terp Perks promo windows. Check /loyalty-program for the current schedule.
Q.05Can I reserve an item online and pick it up later?
Yes - every in-stock product on our Dutchie menu can be reserved for in-store pickup. Reservations hold for 24 hours at Astoria and Ozone Park, and you settle payment (cash or debit) at the counter when you grab it. Reserving is the fastest way to guarantee a limited-drop flower or infused pre-roll - we see drops like Silly Nice rosin and MFNY flower move in hours.
Q.06Do you offer discounts for veterans, seniors, or medical patients?
Terp Bros offers ongoing 10% veteran and senior (65+) discounts at both locations, and daily rotating deals through Terp Perks. CAURD licenses are adult-use only, so New York medical patients use MMJ dispensaries - but veterans and seniors always stack. Show a VA card, military ID, or state-issued senior ID at checkout to apply. Stacking rules and exclusions are posted at the register and on /deals.
Delivery Services
Q.01Do you deliver to my zip code?
Terp Bros delivers across Queens from both locations. Astoria covers 11101, 11102, 11103, 11105, 11106, Long Island City, Woodside, and Sunnyside. Ozone Park covers 11417, 11414, 11420, Howard Beach, Lindenwood, Richmond Hill, and the Rockaways. Enter your address in the Dutchie checkout on /cannabis-delivery - it confirms coverage in real time. Edge zip codes sometimes fall inside a partial zone, so the checkout is always the source of truth.
Q.02What's the minimum order for Long Island City delivery?
Long Island City delivery orders ship from our Astoria shop with a $60 minimum - the same threshold as Astoria, Woodside, and Sunnyside zones. Delivery fee is a flat $10 unless a Terp Perks drop waives it. LIC customers near the Queensboro Bridge and Court Square regularly get 45-minute turnarounds during weekday afternoons. Peak 5pm-8pm windows stretch to 90 minutes - order early or pre-schedule.
Q.03How fast is same-day delivery?
Most Queens orders land within 45-90 minutes of placement, Monday through Sunday, 10am to 9pm. Astoria-zone and Ozone-Park-zone deliveries are fastest because they ship from the closest shop; outer zones add 15-30 minutes. You get live driver tracking via Dutchie once the order leaves the shop. If a product on your order is out, a budtender calls before swapping - never silent substitutions.
Q.04Can I schedule delivery for a specific time?
Yes - at Dutchie checkout, choose a 30-minute window up to 48 hours out. Scheduling is free and locks the inventory, so limited drops like Dogwalkers singles and Hudson Cannabis eighths stay yours. Same-day ASAP orders default to the fastest available window. If you miss a scheduled delivery attempt, drivers re-try twice before returning the order to the shop.
Q.05Do you deliver to hotels?
Terp Bros delivers to Queens hotels including Resorts World, Ozone Park, JFK-area properties, LaGuardia-adjacent hotels, and Long Island City hotels. Hotel addresses are valid delivery destinations as long as the recipient is 21+ with valid ID at the door. Some hotels require the driver to meet you in the lobby instead of coming to your room - leave a note at checkout if your property has that policy. Resorts World and Aqueduct guests, see /near/resorts-world-nyc.
Q.06Is there a delivery fee?
Delivery is a flat $10 across Queens at Terp Bros, regardless of order size. Loyalty members earn free-delivery days through Terp Perks, and specific promo windows (grand opening drops, 420 week, holidays) waive the fee sitewide. Driver tips are never required and 100% optional - drivers see tips live after delivery. Most customers tip 10-15% of the order total when service is solid.
Q.07What happens if the driver can’t verify my ID?
Drivers are required by NY OCM to verify a valid 21+ ID at every delivery. If the ID fails - expired, wrong name, or nobody 21+ at the door - the order returns to the shop, you pay the delivery fee, and products get restocked. No exceptions. Help us help you - make sure the name on the order matches the ID you'll show, and someone 21+ stays at the delivery address during the window.
Products & Quality
Q.01What is CAURD licensing?
CAURD (Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary) is the NY OCM license program that gives the first legal cannabis retail licenses in New York State to individuals with a prior cannabis conviction or a nonprofit serving justice-involved communities. Terp Bros holds two CAURD licenses. Astoria operates under OCM-CAURD-23-000020 and Ozone Park under OCM-CAURD-25-000294. CAURD matters because it means every dollar you spend supports social-equity retail, not out-of-state investors. See /compliance for the full breakdown.
Q.02Are your products lab-tested?
Every product on the Terp Bros shelf is lab-tested by NY OCM-approved labs for potency, pesticides, heavy metals, residual solvents, microbials, and mycotoxins. Certificates of Analysis are accessible by QR code on every package - scan and see the raw data. If a product fails testing at any stage, it never reaches the shelf. Failed batches are destroyed and logged through BioTrack. Illegal smoke shops skip this entirely, which is why their vapes regularly test positive for Vitamin E acetate and heavy metals.
Q.03What terpenes should I look for?
The five terpenes driving most of the experience at Terp Bros are myrcene (sedating), limonene (uplifting and citrus-forward), pinene (alert and clear-headed), caryophyllene (calming, black pepper notes), and linalool (relaxing, lavender). Strain names tell you less than the terpene profile. Ask any budtender for the terpene breakdown on a flower or pre-roll - we print it on shelf cards. Our Queens Terpene Guide (/blog/queens-terpene-guide) goes deeper into pairing terpenes to effects.
Q.04Why is independent cannabis more expensive than illegal smoke shops?
Legal CAURD-licensed cannabis at Terp Bros costs more because it pays NY state excise tax, OCM testing fees, BioTrack seed-to-sale tracking, licensed-farm pricing, and compliant packaging. Illegal shops skip all of that and sell untested product with no consumer protection. You're paying for lab results, not a markup. Every legal eighth funds the NY cannabis equity program, which reinvests into communities harmed by prohibition. Illegal shops fund nothing but themselves.
Q.05Do you sell CBD only?
Terp Bros is an adult-use THC dispensary first - everything on our menu is federally Schedule I cannabis, sold under NY state's adult-use framework. We also carry CBD-dominant and 1:1 THC:CBD products for customers who want lower-THC or balanced effects. If you want hemp-derived CBD only (no THC), ask a budtender - we can point you to our 1:1 gummies, low-dose tinctures, and high-CBD flower. Our /cbd-low-dose hub breaks down the full sub-10mg lineup.
Q.06Are your edibles vegan?
Many Terp Bros edibles are vegan, including most Ayrloom gummies, Rolling in Doh chocolates, and selected Mfused and 1906 products. Every package lists allergens and animal-derived ingredients - we stock dozens of SKUs so there’s always a vegan option. Ask at the counter for the current vegan roster - the menu rotates weekly as new brands arrive. Gelatin-based gummies and dairy chocolates are clearly flagged on the shelf.
Legal & Safety
Q.01How much cannabis can I buy at once?
New York law allows adults 21+ to purchase and possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis flower or up to 24 grams of cannabis concentrate per day. Terp Bros enforces the daily limit at checkout - the Dutchie system blocks carts that exceed it. The 3oz/24g daily limit is a total across flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, and concentrate equivalents, not per-product. You can still split a large order across multiple days. Full rules at /ny-cannabis-laws.
Q.02Can I smoke in public?
New York law permits adults 21+ to smoke cannabis anywhere tobacco smoking is allowed - sidewalks, public parks (with exceptions), and private property with owner permission. Smoking is prohibited in schools, workplaces, cars, federal land, and all indoor public spaces. You can't consume on the subway, in Uber/Lyft, in Astoria Park's posted smoke-free zones, or inside any NYC restaurant or bar. NYC Parks enforces a citation-first policy. Carry your legal cannabis in tamper-evident packaging from Terp Bros to avoid any hassle.
Q.03Can I bring cannabis on the subway?
You can legally carry cannabis on the NYC subway if you are 21+ and the product stays sealed in its original tamper-evident Terp Bros packaging. You cannot smoke, vape, or consume edibles on subway platforms, stations, or trains - MTA rules prohibit any consumption. Federal law still classifies cannabis as Schedule I, and federal property (Penn Station concourse, certain train terminals, federal courthouses) falls under federal jurisdiction. Keep product sealed and in a bag.
Q.04Where can I legally consume in NYC?
The safest legal place to consume cannabis in NYC is on private property with the owner’s permission - your own home, a friend’s apartment, or a private backyard. Public smoking is allowed where tobacco is allowed, but NYC has dozens of smoke-free zones. Hotels, short-term rentals, and most apartment building common areas prohibit cannabis smoking under their own rules - check the property policy. Some NYC social consumption lounges are licensed, but they are rare and the list changes monthly.
Q.05What's the NY possession limit?
Adults 21+ in New York can possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis flower and up to 24 grams of concentrate outside the home, and up to 5 pounds total at a private residence. Anything beyond those limits is a civil or criminal violation depending on quantity. The possession cap is separate from the daily purchase cap. Our full NY cannabis law hub (/ny-cannabis-laws) covers home cultivation, gifting rules, and federal overlap.
Q.06Do you share my information with the government?
Terp Bros does not sell, rent, or share customer data for marketing. We do share sales volumes in aggregate with NY OCM via BioTrack as required by CAURD licensing, but that data is anonymized at the register and never tied to individual customer profiles. Your ID is scanned only to verify age 21+ and is not retained after the transaction. Dutchie account data follows Dutchie’s privacy policy. Full breakdown at /privacy-policy.
Q.07Can I drive after consuming cannabis?
No - driving while impaired by cannabis is illegal in New York and carries DWAI-Drug penalties identical to alcohol DWI: license suspension, fines, and jail time on repeat offenses. Impairment from edibles can last 6-8 hours, flower/vape 2-4 hours. Plan ahead: ride-share, public transit, or stay put. New York State Police and NYPD use Drug Recognition Experts (DREs) at checkpoints, and roadside testing technology is improving fast.
