PAX fresh on the shelf.
premium dry-herb and concentrate vaporizers (PAX 3, Era, Plus, Mini).
Live at Terp Bros NYC — both Astoria and Ozone Park counters carry this brand. Products go through New York OCM’s regulated testing framework before they hit the shelf.
What PAX means at the Terp Bros counter.
PAX is the hardware brand that lives in the accessory case at both Astoria and Ozone Park, and it's the device our staff hands to Queens shoppers who want a premium vaporizer without the home-rig complexity of a Puffco. The dry-herb PAX lineup — PAX 3, Plus, Mini — is the answer for anyone who wants to vape their own flower picked from our wall. The PAX Era is the pod-based option for customers who prefer pre-filled concentrate and don't want to mess with loading. PAX as a company predates legal recreational cannabis as we know it — it was founded in 2007 in San Francisco by Adam Bowen and James Monsees, originally under the name Ploom. The PAX 1 launched in 2012, and the lineup has iterated through PAX 2, 3, Era, Plus, Mini, and Four. The brand distributes across the US, Canada, and Europe, which puts it in a different category from the boutique vape brands we carry. PAX hardware itself doesn't require NY OCM cannabis testing because the devices are sold empty, but any PAX-compatible cartridge or pod we sell has cleared the state pipeline.
Hardware is where Queens shoppers ask the most questions, and PAX is the brand our budtenders default to when someone wants quality but doesn't want to commit to a dab rig setup. The dry-herb devices pair directly with the flower we carry — load it from a Preferred Gardens jar, set the temp, vape, no combustion, no smell. The Era pod system is the move for travel or discretion. We sell PAX at both stores and stock compatible pods alongside the devices so you don't leave needing a second store run. For someone graduating from a grinder-and-paper habit to a temperature-controlled device, PAX is the most established option on our shelf with over fifteen years of engineering iteration behind it.
PAX 3 pulled out on the rooftop after dinner, dry-herb chamber loaded with something fresh from the Preferred Gardens jar, temp dialed in to the lower end where the terpenes survive, no smoke, no ash, no smell traveling down the airshaft to the neighbor's window, just a clean vapor pull that tastes like the strain on the label. The reason flower-focused customers eventually graduate from grinders and papers to dedicated devices.
PAX on the rail today.
Out of California, on the Queens shelf today.
PAX originated in 2007 in California. Like every brand on our wall, it earned its spot only after passing the New York OCM compliance lab and our buyer’s shelf review. What lands on Ditmars and Cross Bay is the same formulation the brand makes everywhere — held to the same independent test we hold our Hudson Valley growers to.
