Welcome back and happy Tuesday, Terp Bros loyal! The temps are finally starting to return to normal winter levels and out of sub zero territory (hopefully for good) and the Bad Bunny concert went well. We even heard there was some kind of football game the same night. Whether you won big, lost big, or couldn’t care less, everybody here at Terp Bros is a winner! The football season may be over, but the season of amazing new products here at Terp Bros is always in full swing. Like every Tuesday, we’re here to set you up for an amazing week with another stacked list of everything from what to smoke to where to shop this week in Queens!

These things are as delicious as the apples that started their farm and the amazing products they make with them! They’re available in two strains currently. The Cereal Milk (hybrid) might sound like a wet, cold mess but that’s far from the case with these infused pre rolls. These things are terpy, tasty, and pack a punch that would knock the wind out of a leaf blower! The Lychee Dream (Sativa) will have you feeling like you don’t want to wake back up. Please do. And if you need any help waking up, these potent and delicious pre rolls will help! Regardless of which you choose (especially if you choose both) you’ll be happy you went to Terp Bros Ozone Park!

WEEKLY RESTAURANT HIGHLIGHT(S)
1. Bad Habits (Astoria)
Some restaurants toy with the idea of fusion. Their menus dip the occasional toe in, and that’s led to some amazing recent staple items such as Philly Cheesesteak egg rolls, buffalo chicken dumplings, and Korean corn dogs. However, while some restaurants tease the occasional fusion item, others exude pure fusion with everything they do. Bad Habits in Astoria is the latter. They do Latin sushi (specifically Puerto Rican) and we are one hundred percent here for it. Imagine a sushi roll. Got it in your head? Alright, great. Now replace all of the traditional Japanese ingredients with Puerto Rican staples. Still not getting the vision? No worries. We’ll describe a couple menu items for you. First, their Ay Carne roll. It’s a soy paper roll with chicken, mozzarella, maduro, steak, bacon, and sriracha aioli. Next, the Salchi-Papi roll which is salchicha ranchera, cheddar cheese, avocado, fried potato, sweet chili sauce, and chimichurri aioli. Yeah, do we really even need to say anything else? We didn’t think so. Let them know we sent you!
2. The Local Press (Ozone Park)
From burgers to chicken sandwiches and amazing Mac and cheese, The Local Press in Ozone Park is serving up deliciousness with a smile on the daily! They have fantastic burgers, their fried chicken sandwiches are crispy and seasoned to perfection, and their signature items like their white truffle Mac and cheese and chicken and waffles are sure to have you coming back for more! Our recommendations start with the Mac and cheese options. Notice we said options. First, their classic Mac is delicious, creamy, and oh so cheesy. Feeling like mixing it up a bit? Try some of their other flavor options like spicy buffalo chicken, indulgent Smokey bacon, or the decadent and classy white truffle. Notice feeling like noodles? No problem. They have a number of perfectly charred and crispy fried chicken sandwiches and burgers as well as fantastic chicken and waffles for the brunch lovers out there. All of this and so much more at The Local Press in Ozone Park. Tell them Terp Bros sent you!
SMALL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT(S)
1. Museum of Nostalgia (Astoria)
Were you born anywhere from 1980 to 1995? If so, and you haven’t been to the Museum of Nostalgia yet, you’re missing out! This place is amazing. It’s like stepping back in time to the perfect room for hanging with your friends, playing video games, and watching old movies that no longer hold up. From the old school wooden box television set (that works) to the vintage (working) Nintendo consoles, even the stacks of VHS tapes and Garbage Pail Kids decor. This place is as close as we can currently get to traveling back in time. Careful, spending too much time here may lead to depression upon exiting and remembering it’s actually 2026. However, you can rest easy knowing that the Museum of Nostalgia exists for you to visit when you just need to see a full California Raisin collectible set in prime condition. We all need that from time to time. Even better news! They also sell vintage toys, movies, collectibles and more so you can take a piece of nostalgia home with you!
2. Austin Book Shop(Ozone Park)
We’re not fooling ourselves. We know what year it is and we also know that reading isn’t exactly the entertaining pastime that it once was for many people. We get it. With every new app or episode of your latest binge watch obsession, the cold, hard pages of a physical book become less and less convenient and appealing. However, there aren’t countless stores with shelves full of these things for no reason. So, there’s got to be something to this reading stuff, right? Right. Reading is a great way to not only learn new things but also train your brain and have fun while doing it! Places like Austin Book Shop understand how fun reading can be, and for that reason, they have curated a fantastic collection of rare, vintage, and hard to find books full of stories your eyes want to see whether you know it yet or not. Get lost in the shelves of classics and hidden gems, then find one (or ten) to buy and take home so you can get just as lost in their stories! While shopping, (quietly) let them know that Terp Bros sent you and let us know what titles you pick up!
Well, here we are again, Terp Folks! The end of another newsletter, but the beginning of another fantastic week! As always, thanks so much for reading each week and submitting your suggestions for local small businesses and restaurants. Because of you, we’ve had countless delicious meals and met so many amazing business owners all over Queens. Almost all of them ask us to pass along one message to you, so here it is. Thank you. For your business, your time, and your love. We feel it and we hope we give it back as best as possible. Until next week, smoke one for us!
