Ay Guey Mexican Restaurant (Woodside)

Looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food in NYC? That might sometimes be harder to find than a lot of other cuisines around the city. Lucky for you, you're in Queens, the most diverse food area in the whole world. If you thought we didn't have good recs for Mexican food in Queens, you clearly don't know us. This week we're serving up an instant classic, Ay Guey!

Their menu is as diverse as the regional cuisines in Mexico are. They have amazing tacos, obviously. But they also have fantastic mulitas, aguachile, ceviche, and so much more! All full already? Not to worry, they also serve delicious craft cocktails from their full bar! Margaritas, palomas, sangria, all of it! If you've been here already, then you know the food and drinks are top of the line. If you haven't been here, then you need to do yourself a favor and check them out! You won't be disappointed. Don Burger Truck - Venezuelan Street Food (Astoria)

Can we ask you something, weed smoker to weed smoker? Do you ever get a little blazed and sit there wondering what life would be like if you had a giant, seventeen ingredient burger sitting right in front of you? Yeah? Thanks for being honest. A lot of people would have just lied about that but we appreciate you keeping it a hundred with us. We do that too! In fact, we were thinking about that exact thing while jaywalking and almost stepping out in front of a truck the other day. Then, like a miracle, the truck missed me and came to a stop. A man stepped out dressed like a waiter. Black slacks, shiny dress shoes, tucked in white dress shirt, slicked back hair. The whole nine. He smiled, and handed me a laminated menu. I perused it for a bit as he began to set up a couple small tables and chairs, folded out a flat screen TV mounted on the outside of the truck, and turned on a football game. This was no ordinary food truck.

To my surprise, the seventeen ingredient burger was actually the star of their menu. There it was in all its glory. The Don Burger. Not just a burger, but a munchies dream come true. It had beef, pork, chicken, hot dog, potato sticks, cheese, chorizo, bacon, a fried egg, and a bunch of different sauces. It was, without exaggeration, one of the most insane sandwiches we've ever seen. Their hot dogs were amazing too. And the drinks and sides and pretty much everything else on the menu. When you stop by, because we know you're going to, make sure to let them know Terp Bros said high!
