Botanist Flower 1/8ths (Assorted Strains, Astoria)

If you've worked your way through the entire Terp Bros Astoria menu, first, thank you. Also, if that is the case, you're probably itching for something new to try. That's exactly why you're reading this and that's exactly why we're writing it. So glad we found each other in this crazy, mixed up world.

Just for you, we present the new lineup from Botanist. High end flower with flavors and highs that pack a punch like a glass bowl at a school dance. The Orange Slice Nebula (Sativa) delivers bright and tangy citrus terps and a sweetness that will make you wonder if you took a hit or a sip of a delicious Slice orange soda. The OG Chem Haze (Hybrid) is a perfectly balanced high. You'll want to party, then munch, then sleep. A proper high, if you ask us. The Grapple Pie (Hybrid) is another balanced high that offers the deep, earthiness that an indica provides while still keeping the euphoric, giggly high you expect from a sativa. Weekly Restaurant Highlight - Homemade Fruit Candy LLC at Neighborhood Deli (Ozone Park)

Okay guys, this one is a little different. We aren't really highlighting a restaurant or food cart. Not even the deli itself. Instead, we're highlighting a specific product sold there. Fruit candy has taken the world by storm (thanks to TikTok) and since it's here, we decided to find the best version in Queens that we could. Neighborhood Deli in Ozone Park is where we landed.

In their unassuming freezer in the back of the store holds the goods you're most likely looking for. Grapes, pineapple, strawberries, and more. All coated in sweet and sour powder that creates a tangy and crunchy bite that is unlike any other. Our favorite (though decidedly difficult to source) was the cotton candy grapes coated in blue raspberry sour shell. Sweet, sour, crunchy, cold, juicy. All of the adjectives on this one.

Don't believe us? After all we've been through together? Crazy. I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed. Sounds like you'll have to head to Neighborhood Deli at 95-01 104th St in Ozone Park today to try it out for yourself! It is a short trip from Terp Bros Ozone Park, so make a loop out of it.

Weekly Restaurant Highlight - The Last Word (Astoria)

When it comes to the best places to grab a drink and some small bites here in Astoria, everyone seems to want to have the last word. However, when it comes to something within a short walk from us here at Terp Bros Astoria, there really is no argument. The Last Word offers amazing drinks including hand crafted cocktails as well as some of the most delicious small bites available in the area. It's a small menu, but when everything is a hit, you don't need fifty pages of options. Looking at you, Cheesecake Factory. Actually, we're sorry. We love Cheesecake Factory. Please send us a gift card so we can take out the whole staff.

Anyway, The Last Word serves oysters, pretzel bites, hummus, empanadas, and charcuterie plates. That's it. That's the whole menu. They also have mixed nuts and olives available, but honestly, go for the other stuff first. It's all great and pairs perfectly with any one of their housemade cocktails. It also doesn't hurt that they're pretty much a ten second walk from us here at Terp Bros Astoria! Make sure to tell them we said hi if and when you go check them out!

Small Business Spotlight - Quackade (Long Island City)

We've heard the cries and requests. Week after week it's the same thing. "When are you guys gonna find a duck themed arcade to highlight?" Well, just for you guys, today is the day. Quackade in Long Island City is what you've been looking for. Full of amazing and fun games with awesome duck themed prizes to win! They also have virtual and augmented reality gameplay options as well as old school manual games. It really is a true oasis for the duck loving midway gamers. We're sure there are at least a few of you out there.

There are also a bunch of racing simulators so you can challenge your friends to see who is the fastest. Or, at least who is the best at video games. Also, the claw machines don't actually feel like you're just wasting money. Easy wins for smiles all around. Also a great place for a date night if you've had embarrassing claw machine experiences in the past or just happen to suffer from claw machine performance anxiety. It happens to the best of us.
