It’s almost spring, and that means one thing. People are about to be outside again. Physically and metaphorically. That means parties, gatherings, get togethers, etc. and all of those are the perfect place to flex a bit and share an amazing cannabis experience with a group of close friends. If that sounds interesting to you, then head to Terp Bros Astoria today and ask one of our knowledgeable budtenders about the cannagars from Made in Xiaolin. These things pack a punch and for a good reason. The smaller version is six grams of pressed flower and concentrate with a small airflow hole down the center and smokes for roughly an hour. The twelve gram version is a true monster that is meant for sharing and smokes with a group for well over an hour. Twelve grams of top shelf flower and concentrate, pressed and rolled with gold leaf and custom filter tip. For those not looking to commit to the six or twelve gram versions, there are also limited two packs of one point five gram minis infused with high end rosin. No matter what you need a cannagar for, Terp Bros Astoria has you covered!
3. Ayrloom Drinks - Assorted Flavors (Ozone Park)

4. Terp Bros Shirts & Shorts (Ozone Park)

As the weather starts to get warmer, New Yorkers are dusting off their summer fits and starting to toy with the idea of wearing short sleeves and shorts again. Alright, let’s be honest. There are always those couple of guys in every neighborhood that feel the need to prove their masculinity by wearing shorts in freezing temps and they’ve been rocking them since the day after the blizzard. However, for the rest of us still wearing pants and hoodies until the sun creeps back out from hibernation, shorts and T-shirts still seem like a future fit. But it’s never too early to start by stocking up your spring and summer looks and lucky for you, Terp bros has sweat shorts and T-shirts available! Rock our classic “Don’t Let Friends Smoke Bodega Weed” design on shorts or a T-shirt available in a number of sizes as well as in black or white! Head to Terp Bros today to grab yours while supplies last!
WEEKLY RESTAURANT HIGHLIGHT(S)
Treats of Korea (Astoria)
Alright, before we get into this one, calling it a restaurant may be a bit of a stretch. However, they serve hot food and there are places to sit and eat, so it’s making the list. This place is beyond fun. Part convenience store, part instant ramen bar. It has authentic Korean snacks, ice creams, and drinks. There are also traditional Korean cold dishes like Gimbap and hot dishes like Tteokboki available, but where they truly stand out is their make your own ramen bar. There are hundreds of instant ramen packs and bowls available to choose from on their wall of ramen. How it works is pretty simple. Spend a painstaking amount of time looking through the numerous ramen options. Then pick your add on options including fresh vegetables and meats that are cooked to order and added to your instant ramen. They also offer a number of toppings and extras on the side. You want spicy pork belly ramen with an extra egg, green onions, mushrooms, and fresh vegetables? Do you want it in a convenience store where you can also buy cool Korean chips and drinks? Look no further than Treats of Korea on Steinway here in Astoria! Perfect for a fun, local date night. Let them know we sent you when you check them out!
Zum Stammtisch (Glendale)
Looking to be transported to the German countryside from one bite of traditional schnitzel? Want to feel like you’re rocking the sickest pair of lederhosen at Oktoberfest after knocking back a few steins of delicious German lager? You have finally found the right place. Zum Stammtisch in Glendale has been serving up classic Bavarian cuisine since 1972 and hasn’t changed a recipe since! You can still get classics like bratwurst and knockwurst sausages, chicken and veal schnitzel, and giant Bavarian pretzels with mustard and house made beer cheese. They also serve a long list of lesser known but still delicious German and Bavarian dishes as well as an even longer list of German beer brands served up by the frosty mug to help wash down all that amazing food. We highly suggest getting the pretzel to start (best restaurant bread ever) and get some of the classics if you’re not super familiar with Bavarian food. Chicken Schnitzel is basically a fried chicken cutlet. Anything that ends in “wurst” is most likely a sausage and it’s tough to mess those up. For the more adventurous, we recommend simply asking your server what their favorite dish is and trying that. The staff actually enjoy eating there, if that says anything about the food. No need to wait until Oktoberfest to enjoy some amazing Bavarian food right here in Queens. Just head to Zum Stammtisch in Glendale and let them know we sent you when you get there!
