We could also tell you how they do a great brunch with options like breakfast nachos, PB & J french toast sticks, and lemon poppy pancakes. We could also tell you how they serve some of the best and most underrated burgers and fried chicken sandwiches in the area. But we aren't gonna do any of those things. Forget we mentioned it. Murphy's Bar (Astoria)

Looking for a chill place to grab a drink, some delicious quick bites, and watch the game? Look no further than Murphy's Bar here in Astoria! They have all of the games available for your viewing pleasure, and if you're more into the food and drinks than the sports, you're also in luck! Murphy's has some of the best wings, tacos, quesadillas, mozzarella sticks and more! All made fresh and all delicious. Pair them with one (or twelve) of your favorite beers or cocktails (responsibly, of course) and you're in for a night you won't soon forget. Or one you'll struggle to remember, depending on how literally you take this newsletter.

Regardless, Murphy's is an Astoria institution and if you haven't been, you're truly missing out on one of the spots that makes this neighborhood so great. Cold drinks, tasty food, amazing and friendly service. You can't ask for much more from a local sports bar, and Murphy's delivers! Metaphorically, that is. Punjabi Mehfil Restaurant (Ozone Park)

Looking for a new spot in Ozone Park to get authentic Indian cuisine? You just found it! Punjabi Mehfil is serving up Indian classics, staples, and new and exciting dishes daily. They focus on large groups but smaller groups and individuals are welcome to come and dine there as well! Traditional food, excellent service, and prices that don't make you feel like you gotta grab a second job just to pay the bill. This is the perfect spot to go with friends. Order a bunch of things to share, eat, drink, and have a great time!

For vegetarians, we recommend the Chana Masala, the Yellow Dal, and the Aloo Gobi. The Chana is perfectly seasoned in a creamy and spicy sauce. The Dal is comforting and filling while being fragrant and flavorful. The Aloo Gobi is the perfect level of spice (for those who like spice). For those with a milder palate, we suggest maybe skipping that one. They also have a huge list of meats, curries and sides.
